Yellowstone

My fave of the week...

100 buffalo swimming across the river right in front of us.
Russ' fave of the week...
(I don't know because he's not here to ask!  But it definitely wasn't having to work every day of the trip and searching miles and miles for cell phone reception and finding out our house alarm went off and our dog sitter thought our dog got lost and no one could get a hold of us.  And he had his bear spray on one hip and gun on the other the whole time, just in case.)

Kid's fave of the week...

There is one chipmunk that lived at this one spot in the park so we drove 2 hours 2 days in a row just to visit him!

 Lake Yellowstone by our cabin.

So typical.  This happened A LOT.

Sarah had a REALLY hard time with the sulfur smell.

I offered Russ a plastic bag because it was cold and raining and he didn't bring a coat.  All of that weight lifting did not pay off in this situation.

 It poured.

We tried hiking longer hikes twice.  First time we got attacked by mosquitos and had to turn back.  Second time we got caught in a HUGE hail storm.  Chad said, "The Spirit is telling me we should turn around and head back."  I said, "Okay, in a minute."  We eventually did and JUST as we shut the car door the hail turned the size of marbles and was so intense.  We avoided getting really hurt!  Thanks, Chad!  You were right!

Oh my gosh, you guys are awesome! How long were you there? I don't know when, but we're going! Russ in the trash bag was too funny. I can't believe all the driving you did for that chipmunk! Cute though. Love ya!
