Look...I have a twin! I'm loving having a mini me. We had the best Veteran's Day ever as we got to spend it with family talking until 1:30 am. All because my brother's son:

is keeping us safe sleeping on top of a mountain on the Afghan-
Pakistani border. We thank him and all of the US Soldiers!!!!!! Because of them we can do peaceful and joyful things like...

Feed the ducks. They soon arrived by the dozens!

It was an AMAZING sight! With all of the dear,
raccoons, wild turkeys, hummingbirds, squirrels, and ducks they feed, it looks like a scene from Bambi.

A glorious nature walk followed.

Mom is not pictured because she is working 2 jobs and 18 hour days!!! One job is physically strenuous. She is the toughest cookie around and we're all trying to get her to slow down. We miss her.
Sarah took her first sewing class. A glorious potholder was constructed.

We were both SO excited about it, I clapped and shed a tear and she screamed with joy and yelled out the window the whole way home she was so happy and proud! I can't sew...I hot glue, so I leave it to the pros to teach her.
And finally...I must end with a quote from six year old Alyssa. She walked into the bathroom and saw Russ nicely dressed, brushing his hair getting ready for our date. She spun around on her heal and left loudly exclaiming, "I can't even look at Dad! When he gets ready for a date he is just
TOOOOOO HANDSOME! I can't EVEN LOOK at him!!!! He's TOO handsome!"
(I don't mind looking.)

That quote from Alyssa is just TOO cute! I love it! Congrats on the potholder Sarah! I am super impressed! I think you just passed me up in the sewing abilities area! ;)
Ahhhh.....what a joyful life you lead! I love your little mini me. Maybe that's why I love her so much because she looks so much like the Leah I love!
My mom has been working so hard between home and work that she strained some tendons in her arm and has it in a brace and has to go to physical therapy twice a week. Our poor moms! They work too hard and too much!
I'm thinking I'll call you this Sunday and we can make plans for Monday or Tuesday. See how things look for the week then.
See you soon!!!!!
Oh and p.s. your mom is definitely a rock star! you are awesome, Ardis!

I love your posts. : ) Everytime I see pictures of that awesome lake, I want to buy land! (Alas, money would help... )
