End of the Year...

Summer couldn't have gotten here quick enough. I got SO burnt out at the end with way too much going on all at once. Sometimes there wasn't even enough time to go to the bathroom, so my goal for the summer is to do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING except play really hard (I love that part) and keep up the house (I hate that part) and keep the kids busy, happy, and productive with as little fighting as possible (can Mary Poppins please come help!).
Sarah performed in Spokane Youth Ballet's Hansel and Gretel as Gretel's friend. Their productions are always SO amazing and even have professionals fly in to be part of the cast. There is something really special about her on stage. She just glows and smiles ear to ear! It's like you can feel her spirit as she dances. She goes to a pretty serious ballet school where professionals have trained/continue to train and I honestly can't believe she loves it so much! Next year she'll be en pointe twice a week in addition to her regular classes.
We invited Dad and Mom to come and celebrate a belated Father's Day. What kind of daughter asks her Dad to watch ballet for Father's Day??? That would be me. They were so supportive and Dad wrote Sarah the sweetest card he sent in the mail to congratulate her. Awww. Dad is the best.
Mom brought Father's Day dinner over before the performance. She can't seem to visit without bringing a meal. Even as busy as she is working 2 jobs and night shifts. Saint Ardis.

Alyssa graduated from Kindergarten and as they performed (she being one of the most animated with the actions) with all the other classes I realized she is the tallest kindergartner at the school! Even with such a shorty Mom. And she holds the record for most teeth lost --6!
Sarah and Alyssa fiddled/tambourined in a trio for the all school talent show. I'm so grateful for the inspiration that came to add Alyssa as a tambourine smacker and for Sarah supporting the idea!!! She loves to be included and was so proud to be the only kindergartner in the show and even got an ovation from her class later that day. So cute.
Chad rocked it at his guitar recital in the park.
Sarah and Chad will both be in middle school next year, 6th and 8th grades. Chad is moving from the charter school to the traditional school. Such a leap of faith, and yes...I am scared to death and hope we don't regret it. He wanted to switch schools for the friends and pizza, but the counselors that work with the kids on the autism spectrum recommended it too.

I just got released today as Stake Primary President. I missed the actual releasing because as my kids were all waiting in the car to go to the stake center...the Costco sized salsa fell off the top shelf and dumped ALLL over me, bounced and splattered in a 20 foot radius all over everything!!! I was swimming in it. I went to church smelling like salsa. Anyway, I am a little scared for my next assignment because it was the easiest calling I ever had. The wards have the heaviest load. Stake has big things in spurts, but so much free time (the best kept secret ever!) and I loved the people I worked with so much. We laughed more than we worked! :)

I love Sarah in her dancing costume. She looks like a doll! I'm sorry the salsa fell on you. You were a great Stake Primary President. Oh and I'm trying to find someone who gives guitar lessons. Eden wants to start soon. Who does Chad go to?
