I'm laboring in the yard, pulling weeds, being a drill sergeant and telling the troops to pull along side me, when a handsome gent calls from the house...
"Hey Leah, do you want me to put the bikes on the car?"
I'm like, "Are you serious? Yes!!!" And completely shocked he would suggest something so spontaneous.
Russ has been SO busy and stressed with work. So I was very touched that on his only day off he wanted to do something he knew I've been longing to do for about 9 months now. That's head back to do another portion of Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes!!! Seriously, I've been thinking about it non stop but our schedules have never allowed it.
The Awesome Bridge
Before I knew it I was whisked away from Cinderellahood and on a beautiful drive with my hubby. We were gone so long that day (including stake conference) I had to rent 3 movies for the kids! It's the only way I know they won't fight while they're babysitting themselves.
No hands, no problem.

My kind of traffic jam. The LOG kind!
Seriously, it is so pretty here in summertime it rivals Hawaii. My dream...to live in HI in winter, here in summer.
REASON #2:
At stake conference adult session, the GA asked for anyone to raise their hands, stand up, and say how they know their spouse loves them. I immediately thought of the excursion my husband just spoiled me with, but then thought...I can't raise my hand because the list is too long. Then Russ raises his hand, stands up, takes the microphone, and declares in front of hundreds of people and tears in his eyes, "I know my wife loves me because...she is always so kind to me. It's something that... really means a lot to me." I will treasure that moment always. I could have sat there all night listening to all the love in the room declared by so many.
