I Am SO Embarrassing

Lately Chad has been sitting in the front seat, rolling down the windows, turning up the base to the max while listening to his Alvin and the Chipmunks Soundtrack CD and wearing his Dad's sunglasses. The CD has a lot of fun rap/hip hop type songs on it and he thinks he is so cool with this blaring music that thumps the begeebers out of you.

We were in the middle of nowhere on a country road with the music blaring and I was just BARELY moving my head to the music. Barely. He says, "Mom, stop! You're embarrassing me." He actually says this ALL the time when we are in the car and I tap my finger to the beat or do a little car dancing. I am used to him saying I am embarrassing him.

But this time I said, "Chad, we are in the middle of nowhere. I can't be embarrassing you. I mean really, WHO in the world is going to see me?"

Chad asserted, "ME!"

I'm just glad Chad isn't too cool to do this :)

More pics from the County Fair

After my glorious second place finish at the duck races:

Ava making laps up and down the stairs during the red neck 4x4 Tractor Pull.

Ava stealing the show from a great band...

One bummer at the fair...I couldn't find and eat my annual Fried Twinkie! I LOVE those things. Sounds gross, but delish. Oh well, maybe next year. Besides the 10 minutes Sarah was lost, we had a TON of fun.

I love it!!!! You were embarrasing him! That's great.

I'm not allowed to whistle or sing or Ethan and Ryan start yelling..."Stop it!!!!" I know I don't have the best voice, but really!

thats our job.. as a parent to embarrass our kids as much as possible!! It keeps them humble right!! We tried fried twinkies at an irish festival here, my kids had no idea what a twinkie was.. don't know if that is good or bad.. but you are right they are YUMMY!!!
