Farewell to Summer

I love summer. I really love summer. Did I tell you I love summer???? I almost named my child Summer. This is why I love my love of loving the lovely summer full of love...
Tubing with awesome cousins...

Picking wild raspberries...
Boating with Dad...
Biking this...
Sunscreen and life jackets and goggles instead of gloves, hats, and boots...
Dates like this... Where you hike this...
Tubbs Hill, Coeur d'Alene
Spontaneous trips to Montana ...
The view along the Montana highway...
Family Camp on Fan Lake
Chad is the MAN!

My flower obsession (I plant and Heavenly Father does all the work)...
Tennis...ahh, exercise without feeling like you are exercising! (Winter=boring treadmill.)
(I still can't believe Chad hung on...)
I'd be rich if I got paid a quarter for every time this summer my kids said, "Mom, this is the best day of my life!!!!" Now that doesn't happen that often during the school year!

Ok. Thanks for the HUGE grin I've got on my face right now. What a cheerful post, and such fun photos! I loved the video too. Chad is similar to my brother in more ways than just their name - my bro NEVER let's go of the tube. He'd rather drag underwater for awhile!

Thanks again for the pleasant Monday morning start!

Leah, here is a link for more info about why GFCF diets work. I thought it was interesting. We have seen GREAT results with it so far, and I was extremely overwhelmed with the idea. We took out dairy first (that seemed easier) and went to soy, but people say soy is just as bad, so now we do rice milk. No cheese, butter, or yogurt, sour cream etc. It was easy to find replacements for these or just omit them from his meal. Your son is older, so, I don't know if he would be willing to do it. You would have to decide together probably. But, you have to commit to doing it for at least 6 months to see results. We have found that it helps most with Jaxon's focus, language and eye contact. It has been helping with his agression too. So far so good! :) Here is another link with books about the diet and how it helps. These are very extreme so, you have to read them and decide what you think about them. You could check them out from the Library if you were interested in finding out more. These books explain how it works though!
