Shock and Awe Campaign

Birthday was AWESOME. I woke up to 10 homemade gifts and cards from the wee ones. That is better than gold or diamonds or pearls to a mommy! It was a BEEEautiful sight! The kids even parted with some of their favorite treasures. Sarah worked so hard on this homemade chocolate creation pictured above (magic shell, chopped nuts, and candy frozen in a cupcake mold and topped with frosting). As you can see, the little girls found it in the freezer the night before and ate almost all of it. That one bite that was left was a bit of Heaven! I'm sure Alyssa and Ava would agree.

She also gave me an entire spa day...
I almost tossed out the homemade cinnamon apple oatmeal mask because I thought it was moldy refried beans until I smelled it's goodness.

She did this for 45 minutes followed by rubbing my feet and applying lotion to all extremities. Her Dad has taught her well! :)
I was in the zone.

Two Christmases ago (yes 2!), I got a certificate from Russ to the nicest spa in the area. FINALLY cashed it in!
Gadzooks, that is a pretty ceiling at the spa! Water was everywhere including a 3 story waterfall.

Ran out of time for parasailing. A pool party at a friend's house for FHE sounded more fun for the whole fam. I even had two birthday cakes there! I just wanted to squeeze everyone to death for giving me such a lovefest. I did to a couple people and they gave me the stiff body. It's okay. Not everyone likes to be hugged like I hug.

I feasted on so much love and kind words from so many people. It was like a shock and awe campaign of kindness. I felt like a million bucks. I love all of you too! And especially my dear Mom, because we share the same birthday. Sadly, she was out of town. So, Happy Birthday to my Angel mother too! And thank you for AAAALLLL of those years, Mom, where you made my birthday special when you could have been putting your feet up and soaking in the birthday love yourself.

Birthday hugs and kisses,
Leah

I'm so glad you had such a heavenly birthday. You deserve every ounce of it. LOVE the little scrap of dessert you got. That was so cute to still put a candle in and take a picture. I'm glad you had your home spa day and away one too. You sound like me. I had a gift certificate for a pedicure and it was about a year before I cashed it in.

Anyway, glad you had a great one and thanks for the little plug on FB for my b-day. Even though your're a little stinker for doing it!
